The Kelpies, Falkirk

Standing proudly at the entrance to the Forth & Clyde Canal, The Kelpies are one of Scotland’s most striking modern landmarks — two towering, 30-metre steel horse heads that celebrate the country’s powerful industrial and working-horse heritage. Created by sculptor Andy Scott, these awe-inspiring structures shimmer in the light and can be seen for miles, making them an unforgettable sight as we travel through central Scotland on our tours.

On many of our routes, we pass The Kelpies on the journey north or west, giving you a fantastic view of the sculptures as they rise above Helix Park. If you’d like to experience them up close, we can also build in an optional stop for photos and a short walk around the site — a perfect opportunity to admire their scale and craftsmanship.

The Kelpies are a brilliant blend of art, engineering and storytelling, symbolising Scotland’s strength, spirit and connection to its past. Whether you view them from the road or choose to visit, they add a dramatic and memorable moment to your private tour.
