We start at Calton Hill for panoramic views across the Old Town, New Town, and Edinburgh Castle, before exploring the UNESCO-listed heart of the city on foot — the Royal Mile, St. Giles’ Cathedral, and the vibrant closes and wynds that run off the main streets. Your guide will share the stories behind the stone, introduce you to the coolest neighbourhoods, and point you toward the best pubs, restaurants, and shops. We’ll also drive past Holyrood Park, Edinburgh Castle, and Holyrood Palace, before visiting the charming 12th-century village of Duddingston, home to Scotland’s oldest pub.
After exploring the city, we head into the countryside surrounding Edinburgh to meet some iconic Highland cows in their natural habitat — always a favourite stop for photos and a gentle introduction to rural Scotland. Lunch is at the Roseleaf, a much-loved Edinburgh restaurant that featured in Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil and serves excellent Scottish fare. We finish with a relaxed drive back through Dean Village and the quieter corners of the city before returning you to your accommodation, bringing your Edinburgh experience to a close.
