Forth Road Bridge

The Forth Bridge is one of Scotland’s most famous landmarks and a regular highlight on our tours from Edinburgh. Completed in 1890 and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this striking red cantilever bridge stands as a triumph of Victorian engineering and a symbol of Scotland’s industrial heritage.

Built by more than 4,600 workers, the project pushed the limits of 19th-century construction. Official records show 73 men lost their lives, a reminder of the immense human effort behind this extraordinary structure. Over 130 years later, the bridge continues to impress with its scale, strength and unmistakable design.
