Carter Bar

Carter Bar is one of the most atmospheric stops on our journeys south with Highland Private Tours, marking the historic crossing point between Scotland and England high in the Cheviot Hills. Sitting more than 400 metres above sea level, this open, windswept viewpoint offers wide-reaching views across rolling Border countryside and creates a real sense of travelling through history, not just landscape.
