Callander & Kilmahog
Callander
Callander is a lively gateway town to the Scottish Highlands, perfectly placed on the edge of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. As we drive through Callander on your private tour, you’ll see why it’s known as the “Outdoor Capital of the Trossachs” — a mix of dramatic scenery, friendly cafés, independent shops and classic Scottish charm.
Surrounded by rolling hills, rivers and woodland, Callander offers beautiful views and a real sense of the Highlands beginning to unfold. It’s a colourful, character-filled place that adds energy and local flavour to your journey into the Trossachs.
Kilmahog & the Famous Highland Cows
Kilmahog is a charming little stop just outside Callander and a firm favourite on our Highland tours — all thanks to its much-loved residents: the Highland cows Hamish, Honey and Baxter. As we drive into Kilmahog, we make a stop so you can meet these iconic “Heilan Coos,” known for their shaggy coats, gentle personalities and brilliant photo appeal.
Here you’ll often have the chance to feed the cows and even grab a selfie with them — a fun, memorable moment for guests of all ages. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Trossachs, Kilmahog is a warm, authentic highlight on any journey into the Highlands.
