Highland Private Tours offers full day and multi day private tours on a daily basis. Our vehicles are not for taxi hire and only used as transportation for customers on our designated package tour.
In the event of one of our tour guides running late because of an unforeseen incident, we will call you to make you aware so please ensure the mobile telephone number you have supplied us with is operational.
If a client is late to arrive at the arranged pick-up point, the driver will wait up to 20 minutes before the appointment is automatically cancelled. Please note no refund will be given in these circumstances.
All transactions require a credit/debit card to secure the booking.
Highland Private Tours cannot be held responsible for traffic-jams, delays, irregularities in scheduling, bad weather or the loss or theft of personal objects. If a tour is interrupted at the request of the client, the client will not be entitled to any reimbursement.
All journeys must be pre-booked in advance.
CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION
Highland Private Tours will honour a 50% refund of received payment when notice is given more than two weeks prior to travel minus an administration cost of £20.00. After this time period (13 days or less), no refunds will be issued. Customers may request a credit note (if cancelled within 13 days) of the value of the tour for a period lasting up to 12 months. After this time frame the credit note will be null and void.
Where exceptional circumstances arise, the management of Highland Private Tours reserves the right to cancel tours or services. In such cases clients will be promptly informed and offered a full refund.
RISKS AND INSURANCE
Clients (customers) must have appropriate and adequate insurance (with a reputable insurer) to cover death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, loss of or damage to luggage and contents of same and expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of a tour. Each client is responsible for loss of or damage to baggage or personal possessions or consequential loss arising there from.
In the event of client illness, then the relevant client must accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred and Highland Private Tours shall not be liable to refund any part of the tour cost. It is incumbent on each client to ensure that insurance cover held is both current and adequate for the particular needs of such client and/or group for which such client is responsible. All visitors from overseas must have insurance to cover accident and repatriation.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The group must at all times abide by the safety brief and directions of the Tour Guide.
The Guide/Company must be notified in advance of clients’ which are suffering from any medical condition or are taking medication.
Clients should be aware that weather conditions in Scotland can be severe and hence must be dressed appropriately.
Highland Private Tours reserves the right to terminate a tour if, in the reasonable opinion of the company the behaviour of a client or client group is or is likely to be disruptive, dangerous or upsetting to other people or if such client or group have caused or are likely to cause damage to property. Highland Private Tours will not pay any refund or costs incurred by a client in the event that a tour is terminated due to unacceptable behaviour.
Please take extra care when boarding and of our vehicles. Ensure that seat belts are worn at all times. In the unlikely event of an accident, remain calm and allow your driver to take you to a safe place away from the scene of the accident. Clients are not allowed to smoke in the vehicles at any time. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with any of the services Highland Private Tours provides, claims must be made in writing to the address below, no more than 30 days after the date of your tour.
